They call me Bee.
I love: Jesus, sunshine, Boise, reading, my dog Scout, freckles, Pride & Prejudice, pancakes, red nail polish, flannel, my bicycle Penelope, tennis, and The Office.
Life is Good.
So here’s some pictures from BYS, finally! I didn’t really have a whole lotta time for picture taking, so sorry if they’re crappy.
Anyway, the Boise Youth Spectacular was July 22nd through the 24th. I had a group of ten 15-year-old’s (one of my girls turned 16 the first day of BYS). These kids… oh man. I would tell you about each individual one, but then I’d feel a little like a creep. I have to say, I’ve never been more impressed by a group of fifteen year old kids. They were all so SO different, I was a little nervous when we all met on Thursday morning for the first time. Luckily, everybody got along suuuper well. We had so much fun!
The theme for BYS was “Things as they really are”. These kids taught me so much about what is real, and how to be real. Funny, because when I was that age I certainly was not very real. And I feel like I still don’t have a solid idea of who I really am, even at 21.
